Dear members of WoH,

you're probably asking yourself why the hell the servers are offline. That question is easy to answer, but the answer is complex.

First of all, I would 've loved to update the server, but Infected just wouldn't send me the files, let alone implent them!

Secondly, the server kept going offline for some reason that Infected didn't want to investigate.

When me and Infected went out to play basketball, he told me that he wanted to start a new server. I told him that we should just continue with this, but he was completely aimed on making a private server of another game (with css coding), which brings us to our third point:

Lack of motivation from the host/lead coder.

I really didn't want this server to end this way and I had a lot of plans in mind, but there's not much I can do...

I'm currently working on learning the RS coding and I'm planning on making my own (non-profit*) server. This server will probably have just me as an owner and that's it. I will take mods though.

I really hope you understand this issue, but I understand it if you don't.

*Why non-profit?
I noticed in all servers that I cooperated with, that when money gets involved, the server starts to fail, as the staff's motivation is something that they aren't guaranteed to getting: Money.
The same's happened to this server and I don't want that any more.

I have just realized, you guys have jsut turned like everyone else. Saying that there going to do something and never gets done. I was hoping to come back and see great progress. Time for me to go.

A lot of things are going on in my life these days, too much for me to cooperate with :\. As a result, I offer my resignation and quit from this server .

I will be around from time to time, and see the server's progress.The server is the best, and will remains.

There isn't much to say, but I am sorry that I can't do much for our server. And I regret leaving you guys.

Good luck with server Infected/Ali, we are always the best.

MAJOR DDOS ATTACKS

Recently in the past week, there have been MAJOR Ddos attacks (distributed denial of service) meaning like a botnet/crashing there forums, the sits include, Moparscape,runelocus,rune-server,silabsoft, if you are currently playing any server with allot of people on it, warn the owner, tell him of this, or they could be next.

Perfectionising: Woodcutting and FireMaking

Hi there players!

We've decided that it's time to extensively work on adding woodcutting. Our system is very simple and will be similar to Runescape's.

For now, we're not to make a specific area, but that we just spread the trees around. That contributes to a more realistic environment. But, we are also thinking about making the varrock area the woodcutting area.

Here, we'll talk about how far we are in developing wooductting and firemaking.

1. Adding the correct level requirements
Level 1: Normal trees

Level 15: Oak trees

Level 30: Willow trees

Level 45: Maple trees

Level 54: Pine trees

Level 60: Yew trees

Level 75: Magic trees

2. The firemaking requirements
The firemaking requirements correspond to the woodcutting requirements.
All you need is a tinderbox and logs .
Right click tinderbox > Use > Use on logs

3. The shops
We've decided that we're adding a shop in every town, as the types of trees are spread all over the game. We will change that if we decide to put all trees in varrock.
The NPC's name is "Master Crafter".
He sells:
Bronze Axe
Black Axe
Mithril Axe
Adamant Axe
Rune Axe
Dragon Axe
Tinderbox

You can also sell your logs to this npc for reasonable prices.

4. Varrock, city of crafting
This is our plan on how the crafting city will look. Please note that this is from a woodcutting perspective. There will also be general stores, equipment stores, rune stores, food stores etc. Also, as you can see, there are two mining areas. We're planning to use those for mining, but that's for later.

Regarding "strange island"

Hi there people,

we've had complaints of people who thaught that the strange island is annoying and well, we agree.

But, it's necesarry because it prevents botters.

See, this is how it works:

Everytime you left click your mouse, there's a 0,05% chance of getting teleported to the island. That's why you sometimes get teleported to it 2 times in a row and sometimes you might not be teleported to it for an hour.

We hope you understand this issue.

We do have to say that we're working on making the island more attractive with random prizes that you can get from there. We still need to work that out though.

Hi there players, this the WoH staff with a very important message.

We've been aiming towards efficiently preparing the game to get it out of beta. The players are an unmissable element of this preparation, as they (you) tell us when you find out about bugs or certain other mistakes in coding.

It's going good, we've already located a few mistakes in the game thanks to our beta testers.

There is one problem though: The bug reporting is not efficient. Everytime we log in on msn or the game, we get overloaded with messages of bugs or w/e.
We can't read and fix everything all at once, so we friendly ask you to report your bugs on the official ways now.

If your report is very urgent or if you haven't got a reply after more than a day, you can use the contact form on our website.
The messages you send using this contact form are directed towards my e-mail and infected's e-mail. That way, you will get your answers faster. Answers are usually replied to you by the e-mail you enter when sending the message, but if they're really good questions that other's can learn from, we will publish the answers on the website too (ofcourse, with your credits).

*How to Train Combat:
First off store your things in the bank by clicking [use bank stall].Then take out 5 shrimps, and your sword, shield, bronze arrows, and shortbow.

~Melee:Go right outside the bank to the left. Train on the men there until your atk, str, and def are lvl 45 or so.

~Range:Train on the men outside of the bank until you are lvl 45 or so range.

~Magic: Magic currently does not hurt monsters. Yet it still gives you experience. If you want to train mage i suggest you travel to the zoo in ardougne. That way you can hit the monsters through the cages.

~Fishing and Cooking:
1. Put everything in the bank at home. Take out about 600 gp.

2.Travel from Home to Port Kazard.

3. Talk to the {Future Npc name}. pay him 500 gp to go to the fishing spot.

4.Once there go to the fisherman and buy a small net and as much bait as u can.

5. Then go to the spot on this screenshot, and fish until lvl 15 fishing.

6.Then go to the building with a stove in it and cook all your fish.

7. Now go to the bank and store your fish.

8.Once lvl 15 fishing go get more money and buy a rod and more bait from the shop.

Custom made theme for WoH

Well, I find the current theme very ugly ,
but it's necesarry because there is no other theme where you can see the yellow admin names clearly.

That's why I've made a theme that (in my opinion) looks better and does show the yellow admin names clearly.

To see the theme, scroll to the bottom right of the forums to find a "quick theme change button". Select the theme called Ali Theme .

I'm still working on it though.
